About Rolled On

Updated on

Rolled On is an independent buying-guide site about truck bed tonneau covers, the lids that close over a pickup bed.

We write for pickup owners who want to keep tools, groceries and gear dry and out of sight. Our aim is simple: help you find a cover that fits your truck, opens the way you like and suits what you haul.

What we cover

Our guides cover soft roll-up, tri-fold and quad-fold covers, hard folding and low-profile covers and retractable covers. Brands include Tyger, Gator, Rough Country, BAK, TruXedo, MOSTPLUS and others.

We sort them by pickup, model year and bed length, because a cover is cut for one truck. We also explain the parts that trip up most shoppers, like bed rails, clamps, seals and drain tubes.

How we work

We read the specs, fit details and maker information for every cover we write about. We also look at what owners often report after a season or two of rain, snow and highway miles.

Then we turn it into plain guides, side-by-side comparisons and clear picks. Our How we research page explains the steps.

What we are not

We don't make or sell tonneau covers, and no brand pays us to rank its products. Rolled On isn't affiliated with Tyger, Gator, Rough Country, BAK, TruXedo or any other maker.

We don't claim to have tested every cover on a truck of our own. When we pick something, we say why, based on its specs, its features and owner feedback.

We don't replace the maker's install guide. A loose cover can come off at highway speed, so follow the maker's clamp and torque steps every time.

How the site pays for itself

Some links on this site go to stores like Amazon. If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

That never changes which covers we pick. Our affiliate disclosure has the details.
